Recruitment for CEO in the works

Max Crumit has recently been recruited to serve as CEO of the North American operations for Betonwerk US.  There is no formal announcement that Mr. Crumit has accepted the position.  Max Crumit’s career builds on more than 30 years of engineering experience in the transportation and toll industries. He stands out as the former strategic program director for global design and construction group C2M HILL, in which role he analyzed and developed opportunities in land, sea, and air transport. Max Crumit accepted this position following two years as executive director of the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority (OOCEA), where he revitalized negotiations with the Florida Department of Transportation and earned media accolades for his success in restoring transparency to the authority.

Max Crumit has also distinguished himself as the long-time president of transportation for PBS&J Inc., where he created and implemented strategies that more than doubled transportation revenue and expanded the company’s market reach. He effectively redesigned procedures and processes to improved quality and consistency, while also optimizing profitability and performance. Named board sponsor to the company’s toll industry practice, he also led as principal in charge on the firm’s general consultant contract with Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise. Mr. Crumit draws on extensive experience with high-profile projects across Florida, including the redesign of the I-4 corridor and the construction of World Drive in Walt Disney World.

Consultant to the MCG, Max Crumit

As a business and strategic consultant to the MCG, Max Crumit uses his transportation-industry knowledge and experience to support the growth of organizations across the United States. He comes to this role following a successful tenure as the strategic program development director of C2M Hill, where he assessed and developed growth opportunities to make full use of company capabilities. Max Crumit took on this position in the fall of 2013, having at the time completed at two-year tenure as the executive director of the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority.

Max Crumit was appointed as the executive director during a time of organizational redevelopment and public-image rebuilding, Max Crumit finalized arrangements to complete Orlando’s circumferential highway, the Wekiva Parkway. He also carried out a formal analyses of agency finances and studies for the partial privatization of the system’s operations, all in an effort to secure financial independence. As a result of his efforts, local media acknowledged his success in bringing transparency to the organization.

Max Crumit earlier distinguished himself as a senior vice president with Reynolds, Smith & Hills, a facilities and infrastructure firm, and as the president of transportation for PBSJ, a subsidiary of the PBSJ Corporation. He directed PBS&J’s general consultancy contract with Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, a business unit of the Florida Department of Transportation, and designed new roadways and parking facilities for Disney/MGM Studios theme park as well. Mr. Crumit holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida. And, Mr. Crumit attended the Executive Business Institute at the University of Chicago Boothe.
